Film Competition 2025
Deadline for entries: January 15, 2025
International Jury will award financial and other prizes in the following categories:
Grand Prix – Best Film Overall (1.000 €)
V4 Prix – The award for the best film from the V4 countries (500 €)
Slovak Literary Fund Award for a Slovak filmmaker (700 €)
Special mentions in the categories:
ROCK, EARTH, WATER, AIR and Jury Award
The jury may decide not to award one or more prizes if justified.

Rules & Terms
- We welcome documentary, fiction, animated and/or experimental features dealing with the mountain sports, mountain culture and environmental issues.
- There is no duration limit.
- Films in foreign languages other than Slovak or Czech and/or films without Slovak or Czech subtitles must be accompanied by English subtitles/transcript.
- Films should not have an older production year than 2023.
- We accept films produced in 2024 and 2023. Films that were already screened online or on TV will be accepted only if they are not freely available online at the time of entry.
- Call for entries is open from November 15th, 2024 until January 15th, 2025 exclusively via FilmFreeway online entry system. Entries sent by e-mail or mail will not be accepted. By submitting your entry, you consent to processing of your personal data (name, e-mail address and phone number) and storing them in our database. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
- The selection committee will select films for the film competition. Filmmakers will be informed about the status of their entry by January 31st, 2025.
